Nutrition plays a vital role in the health of people with cystic fibrosis a healthy nutritional status and body weight is vital for maximising and maintaining lung function.
We advise and provide information for patients on all aspects of their nutritional needs: healthy eating and weight management, assessment of pancreatic enzyme replacement therapy, supplementary nutritional support , fat soluble vitamin therapy, salt supplements and hydration, calcium and bone health, cystic fibrosis related diabetes, sports nutrition. We work closely with our CF Diabetes Specialist Nurse and CF Support Worker in the diagnosis and management of Cystic Fibrosis Related Diabetes.
