The West Midlands Adult Cystic Fibrosis Centre, at University Hospitals Birmingham NHS Trust Heartlands Hospital Birmingham, has recently been very kindly donated a spectacular ‘Tree of Life’ to help raise funds for our CF Centre and improve facilities for our many patients.
The Marc Mulvale Tree of Life was designed by Jessica Ankrett, one of our patients, kindly crafted and donated by renowned blacksmith Stephen McRae and organised by the Mulvale family.
Our unique tree has over 320 leaves attached to it and sits proudly in the main reception area of our CF Centre. The tree enables businesses and private individuals to purchase a leaf and show their support for our patients, past and present, the dedicated CF medical teams, and recognise the courage and strength people with Cystic Fibrosis demonstrate each day battling this life-limiting disease. The tree will also provide essential income for our charity for years to come.
Once you have selected your leaf and donation amount, you can choose your own message to be engraved on the leaf. Each leaf will remain on the tree for one year starting from July and January. After twelve months you can choose to renew your donation and keep the leaf on the tree or the CF Centre can return it back to you to keep. To celebrate the spirit of the Tree of life, in memory purchases should only depict a loved one’s name.

A Silver level donation of £256 could pay for a Physiotherapy vest to help clear the lungs
A Gold level donation of £508 could pay for life-saving ventilatory equipment

Personalised Animals & Apples are available upon request for larger donations which will help pay towards refurbishing the in-patient rooms for critically ill & long stay patients.
Large donations will be issued with an official ‘Certificate of Sponsorship’ and companies can endorse their letterhead & website as one of our official sponsors.
